tbh, i question every day how tf i get through half this stuff, but i really wear it well! looooong story to shmedium story:
ok so boom, back to freelancing bc of mass layoff, but getting by. booked 2 art shows to showcase my photography!?! crazy blessed bc i haven’t really been in that bag for a while, but still got it 👏🏽💁🏽♀️.
soooo my flight to show number 1 was cancelled due to weather after we’ve been sitting on the plane for about 45min afterrrrrr the flight was delayed 2 hours. cool cool cool, whatever because it’s due to weather essentially. multiple other flights are delayed & cancelled as well. we decide to rent a car….i hate this for me & my man. we get through the rain & next thing ik, it’s 4am as we park in front of the liberty view hotel in brooklyn. super cute boutique hotel! my show was that night so i was looking forward to my mom, cousins & friends seeing my latest creation! the only downside was that my art was missing 😭😭 i’m thankful one of my pieces was put on display!!! don’t get me wrong, but the assignment was 2 honey so where tf is my other photo? just m.i.a. & still is, i compromised bc i’m not tryna cause a big ol scene when imma get my pieces at the end of the day lol. i don’t have time to worry bout that, i’m literally too tired. my mom is proud of me & everyone loved my photo.
chile the next day i had a big ol cry & chill time at a besties crib bc i just needed the rest/reset. after that my honey & i explored the asian cuisine at industry city(toooooo good!!) then we went to see audra mcdonald in gypsy on broadway!!!!! bitch, the seats were everything!!! she was everything!! the story definitely had some eerie parallels to my own life of a second daughter. like whew!! with a hot dog after?! perfection.
the next day was so chill bc we were returning home, but it turned into another roadtrip.
yep, that’s right. the planes never took off. we drove back home…this time with the addition of 2 more equally frustrated would be passengers. when i say frontier don’t gotta worry about me?!? smdh
got home monday @ 630am!! that shit was insane!!!!!!! i’m still coming back from the exhaustion, but the massage i had today definitely helped. (oh we’re getting refunds)
you know how much prep i did for this shit?!? i was intending on blogging & making sure i got content….i still did despite all that bs!! lawdhamercy!!
